Richard Blue was born on October 14, 1943 to Robert Blue and Inez Blue of Hartford, Ct. He received his formal education in the public school system of Hartford County. Afterwards he entered into the construction field and later joined employment with Hercules Corporation where he retired. Soon after he began his private contracting business Blue Contractors. He had a passion for carpentry and construction. His hobbies included fishing, biking and cooking.

Richard passed away on March 18, 2023. He is proceeded in death by both parents; Robert and Inez; Brothers: Thomas Blue, Authur Blue, LC Blue and Jerry Blue. Sisters; Rebecca Walker; Lonnie Williams.

Left to cherish and treasure his memories: his wifeMichelle Blue; sons: Richard Blue(Sharon), Stamford, Ct, Jerome(Tara),:Huntsville Al; Kenneth(Anna), Jacksonville, Fl: Terrell Blue(Crystal), Huntsville,Al, one daughter Deidtra Mack. He leaves 26 grands and a host of great grands, nieces and nephews, cousins and sorrowful friends
