It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Lee Fields , a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Richard peacefully passed away on Dec1, 2024, surrounded by his family, at the age of 69
Born on Oct 15, 1955 in Mobile Alabama, Richard grew up with a passion for the outdoors and a deep love for his community. After graduating from high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He moved his family to Chicago illinois where they was growth and new opportunities for him and his family.
After his service, Richard returned to home and began a long career in engineering, working for more than 30 years with OILs & Co. Known for his meticulous work ethic, he played a key role in several landmark construction projects in the region. His colleagues often referred to him as “the man who could build anything.”
Outside of work, Richard was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking, fishing, and camping with his family. He spent countless weekends in the Rockies, passing on his love for nature to his children and grandchildren. He also volunteered regularly at his local church, where he served as a deacon and mentor to many younger members of the congregation.
Richard was loved by his wife and kids and his community Richard leaves his oldest Daughter Juanita Fields, Willie Mae fields, Cory Fields, Richard Jr., Margaret Fields ,Tommy fields ,Albert Fields, Chris Fields ,Emily Fields ,Gloria fields 35 grandkids and one great great grandchild,
Richard family invites you to celebrate his life at a memorial service on Saturday, December 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at. Richard will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to family, and his unwavering faith. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
