ASHLEY — Richard "Junior" Lepley, age 90, of Ashley passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Lepley was born on Feb. 20, 1926, in Ashley to Guy and Gladys (Spangler) Lepley. He married Mary Parker on Nov. 16, 1947, in Churubusco. She resides in Ashley. Mr. Lepley honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a Pfc. in the L. Company of the 342nd Infantry Regiment 1st Platoon and served in the 86th "Blackhawk" Infantry Division. He was employed by Kaiser-Frazer Corp. in Willow Run, Michigan. He then worked for G.C. Lepley Sales in Ashley and later for Bill Lepley Mobile Home Moving in Waterloo. Mr. Lepley served as the past commander of the Ashley American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lepley of Ashley; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Lepley of Hamilton and Lynda and Chad Wappes of Kendallville; two sons, William Lepley of Ashley and Robert Lepley of Kendallville; a daughter-in-law, Lynda Lepley (Guy) of Hudson; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Lepley of Ashley; four sisters, Waunita Tagtmeyer of Angola, Joyce Meyers of Cleveland, Ohio, Sharon Miller of Hudson and Karen Dilley of Auburn. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Richard U. Lepley and Guy L. Lepley; and six brothers, R. Udell, Winfred, Bud, Ted, DeWayne and Lynn. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St. in Waterloo. Officiating will be Pastor Bill L. Lepley and Pastor Craig Burkholder. Burial with military honors will take place at Circle Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo. Memorials are to the Hudson United Brethren Church, 516 N.
