ROCHESTER - Richard M. Madison, age 74, of Rochester, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, on his 56th wedding anniversary, at LifeCare Hospital in Pewaukee. He was born on March 13, 1937 in Franklin, Wisconsin, to the late Myron and Phyllis (nee Weytens) Madison. Richard spent his early life in Big Bend, and attended the Ag School in Rochester. Following High School he proudly served in the United States Naval Reserves. On March 10, 1956 in Mukwonago, Richard was united in marriage to Ilene Ragio. Following marriage they made their home in Rochester. Ilene preceded Richard in death on May 6, 2010. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends at his up north retreat. His other hobbies included woodworking and fixing just about anything in his garage. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Words cannot express the sorrow we all feel at the loss of our beloved father, grandpa and friend. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his loving children; Deborah (Paul) Ogrizovich, Ronald (Kathy) Madison, Connie (Randy) Siemers, Rick Madison, Jeffrey (Diane) Madison, Lisa (Jeff) Johnson and Wendy (Tom) Hanson, 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and by siblings; Gerald "Red" (Karen) Madison, Ellen (Norman) Bishop and Patrick (Arlene) Madison. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and by brothers; Don, Eddie and Larry Madison. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home with Pastor Kristie Jaramillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, March 14, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
