Richard E. Martin5/17/1931 - 4/24/2016Richard E. Martin was born on May 17, 1931 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Lee and Minnie Martin. He was the youngest sibling, his brothers: Forrest Martin, Floyd Martin and sister Leota (Martin) Cox preceded him in death. Richard died April 24, 2016. He was the beloved father of Gloria (Martin) Holland, Nadine (Martin) Mapes, David Martin (deceased) and stepdaughter Louise Martin and beloved grandfather to numerous grandchildren. Richard Martin married Doris Martin on December, 20, 1954 in Elmo, Kansas and had three children. He later married Thelma Martin in Nampa, Idaho on August 2, 1983. Richard Martin served in the US Army as a Staff Sargent working as a Truck Mechanic in Germany. Richard worked for many years throughout Idaho for the Fish and Game Department as a Fish Culturist rehabilitating the Salmon population in Idaho. Before retiring Richard worked as a security guard at the JR Simplot Company in Caldwell, Idaho. Richard was a wonderful person who loved to go camping, dancing, swimming, boating, and scuba diving. He will be greatly missed. He requested that he be cremated and his ashes scattered at his favorite place.
