Richard N. "Dick" Breese, 73, of Springville, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 14, 2016. His wife of 43 years, Paula (Stankavage) Breese survives. He was born on August 27, 1942 in Endicott, NY to the late Harold D. and Leona (Squier) Breese. Dick is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Rick Apgar; grandchildren, Simon and Owen; brother and sister-in-law, David and Suzanne Breese; sister-in-law, Mary Stankavage; niece and spouse, Jennifer and Jr. Weyandt and children. He was also predeceased by his niece, Amy Breese; and brother-in-law, Joseph Stankavage. Dick was in the auto body business for over 50 years and owned and operated D&D Garage and Body Shop for over 30 years. He was a true gentleman; he loved everyone he met and was your friend forever. He enjoyed his Ham Radio, computers and fixed anything and everything. He was a Jack of All Trades, King of Tinkering. The light of his life was his daughter and his grandsons. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, PA. A service will be held at the family's discretion and his ashes will be spread at the St. Lawrence River.In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Springville Fire Co., PPO Box 107, Springville, PA 18844 or True Friends Animal Welfare Center, 16332 SR 706, Montrose, PA 18801.
