SHOAF, Richard Ashley Richard Ashley Shoaf, 66, of Marietta, GA entered into eternal life on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016. Ashley was born on July 13, 1950 in Memphis, TN to Charles Coleman Shoaf II and Anna (Witt) Shoaf. He graduated from Columbia Military Academy and went on to attend the University of Tennessee, receiving his bachelor's degree in Agriculture and Economics. He had a successful career in corporate sales and in 1996 went into business for himself launching a landscape company. Named to Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities, he also served in the U.S. Army National Guard and is a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a self-made man and the epitome of a southern gentleman. Ashley is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Lauren Elisabeth Shoaf Pace (Ray), granddaughter Caroline Shoaf Pace and another granddaughter due in Dec. (Alice Raines Pace) of Tallahassee, FL, brothers Stephen (Natalie) Shoaf and Stuart (Renee) Shoaf of Port St. Joe, FL and Charles Coleman Shoaf III of Memphis, TN. A funeral Eucharist in his honor will be held Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Saint Barnabas Anglican Church (4795 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody, GA). Immediately following the service friends and family are invited to a luncheon reception in Harvey Hall. The burial will be held the following day, Saturday, Nov. 12 in North Carolina.
