He was born on March 31st, 1924 in Stouchburg,a son of the late Albert I. and Margie Miller Weaver. Richard was the husband of the late Marie A. Wenger Weaver and the late Sarah Jane Weaver. Mr. Weaver was retired from the Conrail/ Reading Railroad, where he was an electrician for 38 years. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during
WWII. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union; Life member of the NRA and Grace U.C.C. Church, Richland. Surviving are his sons: Dr. Richard E. Weaver, Lebanon and David E, husband of Colleen Weaver, Lancaster; daughters: Sylvia Marie, wife of Douglas Heagy, Kleinfeltersville and Nancy K, wife of Delmar Zartman, Schaefferstown; stepson: Barry, husband of Connie Bertolett, Wilmington, NC; grandsons: Burt and Michael Wolgemuth; Derek and Colby Zartman; Adam Weaver; granddaughter: Erin Devlin; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother: Albert Weaver of Franklin, WV. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Orris Weaver. A funeral service will be held in the Grace U.C.C. Church, 22 Church St., Richland, PA 17087 on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The Clauser Funeral Home, Schaefferstown, is handling the arrangements.
