Rautenberg, Rita Ellen 71 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on February 18, 2017. Rita was born on July 1, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois and is considered by her family and friends as a "true Chicagoan at heart." She will be remembered a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a pinnacle of strength. Friends and family always remained her #1 priority in life. Rita is preceded in death by her husband of 5 years, Eddie Rautenberg, parents Casey and Norine Rydzewski, sister Rosie Muilli and grandson Charlie Price. She is survived by her children: Joel Markiewicz (Michelle), Jeffrey O'Desky, Sharon Levake (Larry), Jennifer O'Desky, Stacey Swain (Alan) and Nicole Moore, siblings Gerrie Knapik, Linda Padilla, Kathy Bullard, Janet Pinon, Larry Rydzewski and Toni Wielgus, grandchildren Reiley Price, Brady, Kenny and Lauren Levake, Matthew and Emily Markiewicz, and Trevor and Tiffany Swain. A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria AZ 85381 on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5-8 pm with a rosary at 7. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at St Elizabeth Seaton 9728 W Palmeras Dr, Sun City AZ 85373 with a graveside to follow at Arrowhead Memorial Gardens 21000 N 75th Ave, Glendale AZ 85308.
