In Loving Memory

With great sadness, we mourn the passing of Rita Faye Cotten, age 58, who left this earth on May 10th, 2023 in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on May 17th, 1964, in Pineville, Louisiana to her beloved parents, Charles Thomas Cotten and Nelly Faye (Boyt) Cotten, both preceding her in death. Also preceding her in death, her brother, Thomas Ray Cotten.

Rita was a wife and a widow. She was a mother and helped raise three wonderful children who brought her immense joy and pride: Her son, Charles Edward Latimer Tulley, her daughter, Chasity (Tulley) Cole and husband Kenneth Cole, and her son, Jullian Tulley Jr, all of Louisiana. She also leaves behind 10 beautiful grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is survived by two brothers: Ronald Joe Cotten and wife Peggy, Curtis Lee Cotten and wife Evie, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Edwards) Cotten, all of Missouri, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.

The memory of Rita will always be cherished by her loved ones. She had a spunky personality, a wonderful laugh, and a kind heart. Her presence in the lives of those who knew and loved her will be deeply missed.

We offer our condolences to the family and friends of Rita Cotten during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

AFTERGLOW

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one. I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times, laughter, and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

You can to the family or in memory of Rita Cotten .
