Rita M. Brennan, 87St. Cloud, MinnesotaAug. 18, 1929 ~ Dec. 8, 2016Memorial services celebrating the life of Rita M. Brennan, 87, of St. Cloud will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud.  Rita passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Reverend Frank Tomasiewicnz will officiate.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery, Waite Park. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Rita was born on August 18, 1929 in St. Cloud to Leo and Matilda (Aigner) Hunstiger.   She married Basil E. "Buck" Brennan on October 24, 1950 in Washington D.C. and they later divorced.  Rita was employed by the St. Cloud School District #742 for 26 years, retiring in 1995.   She was a member and past president of the Eastside VFW Post #4847 Ladies Auxiliary. Rita is survived by her children, Patti Nugent of Palm Springs, CA, Thomas (Teri) of Fountain Hills, AZ, Peg Brennan-Peterson of Englewood, CO, Pamela Brennan of Manitowoc, WI, Paula Brennan-Baker of St. Cloud, Terry of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Phillip, Jacqueline, Abbie, Hanna and Connor; great grandchildren, Roman, Connor, Dominic; sister, Donna Plotnik of Hemet, CA; and brother Ed (Carol) Hunstiger.She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael; brothers, Robert, Arthur, Leo and David Hunstiger; and sister Marcella Stazo.A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Carefree Living for their kind and compassionate care.
