Carson, Robbie C. Wilson (Smith),73, passed away on January 31, 2017 in Lake City, FL after a brief illness. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, SR 47, Lake City, FL with a reception to immediately follow in the fellowship hall. Mrs. Carson was born on December 1, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ruth and Robert Wilson. She considered herself to be a Kentucky girl until she relocated to Lake City, FL in 1971. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BS in Nursing and received her Masters' degrees in education/nursing from the University of Florida and Florida State University. Robbie had a successful career as a nurse and nurse educator at Lake City Community College/Florida Gateway College and later as program director until her retirement in 2007. She is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Carson, and their seven children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters, Elaine (Leelan) Greer and Corrine (Joseph) Mucci and a nephew.
