Robert AntrimRobert Lee Antrim was born on August 21, 1927 to Vera (Grim) and Ralph Antrim in Harper, Kansas. He spent his life in the theatre as an actor, director, playwright and teacher. He received his BA and MA from the University of Northern Colorado and earned a PhD in playwriting from the University of Utah. He received the Shubert Scholarship for playwrighting and was published through Samuel French.He started his career teaching at West Texas State College, now known as West Texas A&M, then Colorado State University and the University of Utah. He and his wife Dorothy were directors and producers of the Salt Lake Community Theatre for 22 years. In 1992 they retired to their ranch in Redstone Canyon. Known for his robust personality and generous spirit Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Margaret, his sisters, Beverly Hagar and Marilyn Lowrey, and many loving nieces and nephews. Robert died February 19, 2017. The family held a private memorial. Donations in his name can be made to the Nature Conservancy or the Sierra Club.
