Robert B. McKinstry, Jr.Glenham - Robert B. McKinstry, Jr., a longtime resident of Glenham, entered into eternal rest on October 17 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh. He was 70 years old.Robert was born on January 16, 1947 in the Bronx, the son of the late Robert B. McKinstry, Sr. and Eleanor C. Cullen McKinstry. Robert retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie and was also a retired Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of the Quarter-Century Club at IBM. Robert was also a former adjunct professor at Dutchess Community College.Robert is survived by his children, Heather McElduff and her husband, Dan of Beacon and Robert P. McKinstry and his wife, Katie of Severna Park, MD; his grandchildren, Grace, Rory, Hayden, Jordan and Hannah; the mother of his children, Valerie McKinstry; his sisters, Kathy August and her husband, Jerry and Eleanor; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive their friends and family on Friday, October 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
