Robert B. NeumannRobert B. Neumann of Harrington Park passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017 with his devoted wife Laura (nee Gussoni) by his side. Bob was born on May 1, 1936. In his eighty-one years, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, and good friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Proud of his service in Korea as a U.S. Marine and eager to do more for his country, he joined the Tenafly Police Department in 1963 and earned the rank of captain before retiring in 1996. He was a strong advocate and active supporter of NJ State PBA Local #180 and its members. An avid sports enthusiast his whole life, Bob was always happiest when playing or watching games. He also enjoyed relaxing in the Florida sunshine, working in his garden and cooking favorite recipes for friends and family. Bob was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood and took constant comfort in the warm embrace of the community there - priests, deacons, nuns, and friends - whose love and prayers meant so much to him. Visitation at the Barrett Funeral Home 148 Dean Dr., Tenafly on Sunday July 2nd from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Monday July 3rd, 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 211 Summit St., Norwood. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
