Johnson, Robert (Bob) C. 83 passed away on January 24, 2017. He was born on August 8, 1933 in San Francisco, CA. After high school he began his career in the Air Force in 1953. He saw many different countries in his 20-year career, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant in 1973, from Williams Air Force Base, Chandler, Arizona. He met and married Delores (Dee) Dickerson in 1964. They enjoyed raising their five children, Kristine, Michael (Pauline), Tamara, Martin (Janet) and Ted (Angie) in various places such as Japan, Hawaii, Michigan and Germany while in the Air Force. He was a coach whenever possible for their various sports teams growing up. After settling in Chandler in 1972, he began a second 20-year career in Communications for the Maricopa County Government. He and his wife of 50 years also enjoyed bowling together through the years. Dee predeceased him on Feb. 11, 2015. He is survived by his five children, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A remembrance of his life will be held at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at 11:00 am
