Library, the Free Clinic and was a Big Brother.Several furry companions resided with Robert over a period of years.  They "found" him; he never had to go to the SPCA to adopt a cat. Robert was a writer and spent his spare time writing a semi-autobiographical book which has not been published.  He also wrote poetry and short stories. His other passion was sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, the Atlanta Braves, the N.E. Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. His wish was to survive until the Super Bowl game in February. After all treatment options for his disease had been exhausted he became a member of Hospice; his family want to express sincere appreciation for all their help and guidance.  We wish to especially thank Amy Eye, Debbie Brown, LeeAnne Cruse and Christine Losh all of whom so lovingly cared for him.  Our thanks as well to the Shenandoah Nursing Home and especially Bethany, Marie,    and others whose names we do not know. There will be no public services.  His cremains will be placed in the Four Seasons Mausoleum at Thornrose Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests that those wishing to make Memorial contributions consider Hospice of the Shenandoah, c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.
