Robert Clayton Conway Sr.Services for Robert Clayton Conway Sr, 94, of Canton are scheduled for 2 pm, March 11, 2017 at Canton Church of Christ in Canton. Graveside services will be held at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Canton. R. C. passed away on March 8, 2017 in Canton.He was born on December 5, 1922 in Glenmora, LA to Roy Allen and Mintora "Minnie" Stephens Conway. R. C. served during World War II. During that time he received many decorations including American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 1 Service Strip, and 2 Overseas Service Bars. R. C. was a mechanic for Pan Air for a time before returning to Texas. He play semi pro-baseball during the 40's. He loved to fish, golf, gardening, drinking coffee, and playing with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy Allen and Minnie Conway. R. C. is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Esther (Florence) Conway of Canton; son, Robert Clayton Conway Jr. and wife Kathy of Canton; daughter, Ruth and Tim Braud of Many, LA; daughter, Karen Conway of Canton; Daughter, Kristine Conway of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Robert Clayton Conway III and wife Alicia of Canton, Anna K. Pazos of Canton, Justin and Kerri Davis of Pelican, LA; Tammy and Derek Mong of Many, LA, Travis and Cherish Davis of Florien, LA, and Kaitlyn Whetstine of Spokane, WA; great grandchildren, Robert Clayton Conway IV, Casey R. Conway, Ridge C. Conway, Stockton L. Cranek, Lincoln Pazos, Brooke Davis, Ty Davis, Addie Davis, Kaitlin Mong, Jase Mong, Mallerie Townson, Prestin Davis; great great grandchildren, Layla, Luke, Lynnlee.
