COBBERobert "Bob" Cobbe, 92, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati on October 22, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Hyde Park, Ohio. Bob was born on April 13, 1925 to the late Elwood and Lucille Cobbe in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 104th Timberwolf Infantry Division, Company B, 414th Infantry Regiment during
WWII 1943-1946. He contributed to the liberation of concentration camps while he was a soldier. Among his numerous awards and medals, Bob's
Bronze Star earned during the European campaign sits prominently in the center. Upon his return of the war he began working for Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati where he remained a dedicated employee for the next 65 years. Everyday Bob came to work with a smile on his face and ensured the safety of his coworkers whom he considered family. Bob had a passion for riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, was a gun collector and an avid reader. Bob shared a very special bond with Michelle and Ava Roos, Julie Singler, Jaden Worst, Willie Baxter , Pam Knuckles, Alex and Mason Kronenberger, Robert Sester, Robert Nolan and Greg Stith. He leaves behind his family and friends at Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati and many other close friends. Bob was preceded in death by his dear friends Alan "Mac" MacDonald, Jim Dalessandro and Jim Nickerson. Bob was truly a special man and a blessing to all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Spring Grove Funeral Home (4389 Spring Grove Ave.) from 11-1 pm with the service to begin at 1 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Memorial donations can be made to The Timberwolf Pups Association C/O JeNeal Granieri 1749 9th Ave San Fransisco CA 94122-4701. Burial will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery.
