First, please accept my condolences for Bobs loss. It certainly is a painful situation for us to deal with. But what is the truth of the situation? Is this it? Gods word the Bible gives us straight forward answers and its good news concerning Bob. He is not lost forever, no, in fact the Bible treats death as sleep. When Jesus went to Lazarus he referred to him as sleeping. He then clarified the situation that Lazarus had died. Did Jesus say that was the way it should be? No, not at all, he called on his father and resurrected him. For Bob it will be the same because Jesus states at John 5:29&29; that all those in memorial tombs and graves will come out to life again with us, here on earth. Bob has a wonderful future ahead and we can be a part of it. It will be great to see Bob again.

It is comforting to know that the God of all comfort will completely remove all grief at the time of the earthly resurrection. The Bible at John 5:28,29 comforts us with the words, Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. God promises that he will do away with death forever, and God will wipe the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8
