Robert "Bobby" D. ReeseAGE: 90 • LakewoodRobert "Bobby" D. Reese, age 90, of Lakewood, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.Bob was born on March 23, 1926 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lakewood High School and served in the Korean War with the United States Army. Bob was a retired Lakewood Police Officer. In 1966, he launched Shore Ambulance Service, a company he operated for 30 years. Bob was a member of the Lakewood Recreation Board, sponsored numerous little league and softball teams. Known to many as an avid golfer, he held many records, won numerous championships and could often be found at Lakewood Country Club golfing on one foot! If you knew Bobby, you were "Lucky."He is survived by his four daughters, Jayne Matvienko, Jill Pasch and her husband Brian Pasch, Patricia Dellicona, Peggy Kaplan and her husband Howard Kaplan. Bob was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who all adored their Pop. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Lakewood.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lakewood P.B.A. or Monmouth Medical Center- Southern Campus.
