Robert Dwayne Valdez, 48, of Schenectady, New York, passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on September 22, 2020. Robert was born on May 23, 1972 at St. Mary\'s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY. As the son to Emelia and Dwayne Valdez, Robert was a lifelong resident of upstate New York. Robert served his country in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. Robert was employed as a registered nurse for over 10 years at Ellis Hospital. Robert was dedicated to hunting, traveling, spending time with his daughters, and caring for his 1967 Chevy Impala. Robert was loved deeply by countless friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Joy, as well as four daughters, Nalya, Leia, Nataleigh and Amiah. He is also survived by his older brothers Malcom and Peter. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 at 4 p.m. at De Stefano Funeral Home. 1414 NY-5s, Amsterdam, NY.
