Allport Jr, Robert E. "Bob"Robert E. "Bob" Allport Jr., 56, Village of Howard, died Monday, July 17, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on February 3, 1961, in Cook County, IL to Robert Sr. and Bonnie (Micheau) Allport.On May 22, 1987, Bob married Kelly McClure. He enjoyed camping with his family and attending concerts with his wife. Bob loved to professionally restore classical cars which led him to acquire quite a collection. He also loved being with his friends and family. Bob was a strong man.He is survived by his wife, Kelly; daughter, Nicole (Matt) Struck; three grandchildren, Shailynn, Colton, and Brandtly; his siblings, Fredrick "Scotty" Allport, Melvin (Kim) Allport, Annette (Norm) Courchaine, Peggy Allport (and her significant other, Ron), Diane (Alan) Stock, Joyce Allport (and her significant other, David), Jesse Allport (and his significant other, Kelly); half-brother, Robert Allport; half-sister, Gloria Allport; father-in-law, Donald McClure; two brothers-in-law, Todd McClure, Rick (Cindy) McClure; godchild, Sara Stock-Ducat; many nieces and nephews including Robert, Brandon (Brittany), Michael, and Christina McClure.Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Linda McClure.Friends may call at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 County Rd. U in Kunesh, from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Donald Behrendt officiating. Burial will be in Mill Center Cemetery.
