Ring, Robert E. Robert E. Ring, age 97, passed away on January 22, 2017 at West Valley Helping Hands Group Home in Peoria, AZ. Robert was born on May 18, 1919 in Claypool, IN and proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the147th Armored Signal Company, the 7th Armored Division Association, and the American Legion. On October 10, 1941 Robert married the love of his life, E. Arlene Griswold. Robert and Arlene would remain together for the next 75 years. Robert spent most of his life making, installing and selling church furniture. He also enjoyed making acrylic things like letter and pen holders, and wheels for holding cards for hand and foot. Robert is survived by his wife E. Arlene Ring, his daughter LeEtta S. Bartlett of Glendale, AZ, his son Thomas A. Ring of Stephen City, VA, daughter-in-law Fran Ring, granddaughter Julie Ring, grandson with wife, Matthew Ring and Hannah Ring of Tupelo, MS. Robert will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm. A memorial service will held in honor of Robert at his church, Bellevue Heights Baptist, 9440 W Hutton Dr, Sun City, AZ, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 also at 2:00 pm.
