Brandt, Robert F.Robert F. Brandt, 69, Arpin, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Gary Markworth officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Hansen, Wood County, where military rites will be conducted. The visitation will from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville and from 10:00 am until service time on Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Robert was born on July 4, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids, to Robert and Doris (Horn) Brandt. His father passed away on February 2, 1948 before Bob was born. His mother later married Carl Karloske. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Pittsville High School and was a veteran of the United States
Army serving in Vietnam from August 1969 until his honorable discharge in March of 1971. He married Lucille Ann Schiferl on November 18, 1972 at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper. Bob was employed for the Wood County Highway Department from 1968 until his retirement in 2008 after 40 years of faithful service. After retirement he worked at a cranberry marsh and at the present time drove bus for Hahn Transportation. Bob was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as a deacon and was active in the men's club. He also was a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7131 and the American Legion Post #153, both of Pittsville. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, yard work, going to "the shed", splitting wood, spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Lucille and their children, Amy Martin (Brian Denzine) of Vesper, Jason Brandt (Douglas Bacon) of Spencer and Ryan (Kristen) Brandt of Marshfield. He is also survived by grandchildren, Dakota, Beau, Cole, Cassidy, Jenna, Tyler, Austin, Kaleb, Connor and Dane. He is further survived by his sister, Brenda (Don) Albrecht of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris, his stepfather, Carl Karloske and a grandson, Joseph in infancy.
