Robert FischerRedding, CARobert was born on July 22, 1945 to Hugo and Bernice Fischer in Oakland, CA. He died on May 24, 2017 at home with his loving wife, Susan, by his side. He grew up with 6 brothers and 1 sister in the bay area and graduated high school there. He met and married his wife in 1965 and moved to Redding in 1969.Robert was a retail clerk in the Bay Area and Redding for 22 years. He owned a café in South Lake Tahoe for 2 years. He also owned a food route for 13 years and retired in 2004. After retirement, he proudly worked for 11 years at Lassen Volcanic National Park for the concessionaire at the Visitors Center and the Manzanita Lake Camper Store.Robert and Susan celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 24th, 2015. His love for his wife was immeasurable. Son Tim married Polly Rodriquez of Burney in 1995 and Robert became a proud grandfather in 2008. Izza was the second love of his life. Robert is survived by his wife, Susan and his two sons, Donald and Tim, daughter-in-law Polly, granddaughter Izza Mae; his brothers Leonard, David, Stephen, Roger, and sister, Ellen and their spouses; sister-in-law Janice and brothers-in-law Dan and Joe. Robert is survived by 20 nieces and nephews. He now joins his two brothers in heaven, Paul and John who are watching over their entire families.Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Redding with a gathering afterward at the family home.
