Robert Gene Cartwright Lowe, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. He was born on July 5, 1926, to Robert Doney and Olive Cartwright Lowe. He grew up in Franklin and married Leah Mylroie on Dec. 4, 1956, in the Logan LDS Temple.Robert loved music. He sang in the ward choir, and he and Leah sang for young married wards and all over the valley. He enjoyed playing the guitar and being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, sons and nephews. He always enjoyed spending time with his family as well.He is survived by his children Julie (Phil) Peterson of Springville, Utah; Curtis (Kathy) Lowe of Franklin, Idaho; Randon (Karen) Lowe of Franklin; Robert David (Shelley) Lowe of Franklin; and Daren Lowe, also of Franklin; 18 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and their wives, Harley (Gale) Lowe, Harold (LaReen) Lowe, Dennis (May) Lowe, sisters and their husbands Grace (Floyd) Robinson, June (Ethel) Biggs, and a grandson, Trevor Peterson.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, in the Franklin Stake Center, 106 E. Main, in Franklin, with Bishop Roy Yardley conducting. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center in Franklin. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
