GREENWOOD - Robert “Bob” G. Stulo, age 78, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Zion United Methodist Church in Marshfield. Rev. Michael Carlson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church in Marshfield. Bob was born was born on May 3, 1936 to Emma Mueller in Racine, Wisconsin. He received his education from St. John’s Lutheran in Racine and Racine Vocational School. Later he went to the Janesville School for the Blind. Bob worked at a bakery in Racine and then at Industries for the Blind in Milwaukee. Bob and Sandra (Tate) Stulo were joined in marriage on August 4, 1984 at Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Bob enjoyed listening to audiobooks, wood working, listening to all forms of music, playing guitar and harmonica, and playing Scrabble. A prolific thinker and writer, he was published in the “Farmer’s Almanac” and “Readers Digest,” and was known for “Bob’s Thought of the Day.” His sense of humor was showcased by his radio personalities, “Herr Ointment” and “The Humor Man.” Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra, his children: Michael Stulo of Racine, Beverly (Lee) Martinez of Racine, Jay (Jennifer) Stulo of Menasha and Crystal Stulo of Oshkosh; his step-children: Brenda (Arnie) Bravener of Arpin, Larry (Teresa) Schultz of Marshfield, and Corey (Terri) Schultz of Neillsville; his 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, his sister, Gloria (Vernon) Dunse of Wallace, MI, his brother, Terry (Susan) Stulo of Green Bay, and special sister-in-law, Rannie Stulo of Racine. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, his brothers, Tom Stulo and Dennis Lange, and his sister, Marilynn Stello. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to extend their gratefulness to the staff at Marshfield Clinic and St Joseph’s Hospital for the care that was given to Bob during the past year.
