ClercRobert George Clerc of Loveland, Ohio died peacefully on Saturday, September 9th at the age of 79. He was born on December 13th, 1937 in New York City, NY, the only child to Roger and Helen (Moore) Jeanclerc. He had been the loving husband to Joyce Ann Taulbee since 1968 and together they had one son, David Robert Jeanclerc. He is also survived by David's wife, Marlayna, and two beloved grandsons, Ethan and Lucas Jeanclerc. After growing up in New York, he served his country in the United States Army and Central Intelligence Agency. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics from Niagara University and Master's degree in History from Xavier University. After relocating to this area, he made his career at the Cincinnati Enquirer as a reporter, columnist for the editorial board, and section editor before retiring in 1998. He then enjoyed traveling the world with Joyce and passionately following the Bengals and the Reds. Anyone who knew him will remember his generous nature, sharp wit, and keen intellect. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 18th at 9:30 a.m. at The Community of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 East Kemper Rd.
