Robert George Collier May 22, 1953 - November 6, 2016 Opelika, AL- Robert Collier, 63, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home in Opelika, AL. The memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Robert was born on May 22, 1953 in Hahira, GA to the late George and Anna Fountain Collier. He lived in Washington, GA for fifteen years prior to moving to Macon, GA where he lived before moving to Opelika, AL ten years ago. Robert was a truck driver who loved the open roads and adventures that came with the job. He was a man of great faith and trust in his Savior. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Robert enjoyed volunteering his time to help others and loved his community. His greatest joy was being a caring and loving dad, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Robert loved all of his family near and far and always looked forward to their visits together. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Laura Collier and her wife Michelle of Warner Robins and Leesa Collier of Macon; granddaughter, Kaylee Collier of Warner Robins; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Joseph McNally of Deland, FL; niece, Tara Cumminghan and nephew Michael McNally of FL.
