Robert Glen HendersonRobert Glen Henderson, 82, of Windsor, CO passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley.Bob was born on August 2, 1934 to Glenn and Louisa Henderson in Coggon, Iowa. He grew up on the family farm outside of Coggon with an older sister, Audrey. In 1955 he enlisted in the US
Army and was stationed in Korea as a radio operator for Field Artillery. He married the love of his life, Myrna Schmaljohn, on March 12, 1960. He worked the family farm for the first 10 years of their married life. He then worked various jobs, including owning his own business, until moving to California in 1984. In California he worked for the Garden Grove School District, mowing 72 athletic fields - where he was happy to return to working outdoors and on a tractor. In the year 2000 he retired, moved to Colorado and made Windsor his home. He loved NASCAR, Motorcycles, Ford Thunderbirds, Country Western Music, woodworking, and was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge.He was a kind and loving man who never met a stranger. He loved to share many detailed stories about his early life. He will be greatly missed by all.He is survived by his wife, Myrna Henderson; daughter, Brenda Bucks; six grandchildren, Shannon Bucks, Travis Bucks, Kandra Marlin, Michael Bucks, Ryan Henderson, Brandi Henderson; seven great-grandchildren, Ian Marlin, Jonas Bucks, Avery Marlin, Carson Taylor, Jaxon Bucks, Alexander Henderson, and Alexander Monroe.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister; and son, Mark.Services were held at 11:00 am Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley.
