Robert H. LucasZANESVILLE: Robert H. Lucas, 84, of Zanesville, died at 8:45 AM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his residence.He was born on February 26, 1930 in Middleport, Ohio. Bob was a
Korean Conflict Air Force Veteran and worked at Armco Steel (AK Steel) for 39 years. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as both a Deacon and Trustee. Bob loved sports, from being an avid Ohio State Fan to serving as a coach for many years at Y-City baseball, Babe Ruth baseball and East Tigers Football. Bob was a member of the Zanesville Athletic Boosters, Zanesville Quarterback Club and the Zanesville Tip-Off Club for many years. Bob enjoyed growing roses and could often be seen delivering bouquets of roses to friends, neighbors and family members. Bob loved fishing and shared that love with his sons and grandsons. Survived by Bob's second chance for love and happiness, Lulu Harris; his four children, Robert (Cynthia) Lucas II, John (Mary) Lucas, Catherine (Michael) Winland, and Daniel (Karen) Lucas; the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Patrick (Shelly) Cooper, Valarie (Brent) Kimble, Jessica (Chad) Hull, Erik (Adreanna) Winland, Matthew (Jennifer) Winland, Deidre(Andrew) Miller, Christopher Winland, Nicholas (Hannah) Winland, Courtney (Christopher) Camp, Abbey Winland, Emma (Dustin) Stevens, Bronwyn McCleary and Ethan McCleary; the blessings of great-grandchildren, Jaren, Heath, and Brock Cooper, Regan and Ashton Kimble, Kendall and Camden Hull, Lucas, Madison, Kady, Noah. Olivia Madeline, Jerik, Ava, Annika and Grady Winland, Caleb and Carter Camp, and Oliver Miller; brother, Earl (Donna) Lucas; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lucas and Nancy Crist; brothers-in-law, Fred Hall and, Dan (Norma) Scheffler; and many nieces and nephews.Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Flora (Jesse) Lucas; and his wife, Joan M. Scheffler Lucas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest (Etta), Richard (Mildred) and Walter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Adeline (Mearl) Joseph, Hilda (Roy) Ruby and Francis Hall.Memorial services will be held 11:30 am Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Trinity Evangelical Church with Pastor Mark Matzke officiating. The family will receive friends a half hour before service time and a luncheon in the church parish hall will follow after the services.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 S.
