Hecker, RobertRobert J. Hecker, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 3, 2016, at St. Francis Home.He was born on November 21, 1928, in Fond du Lac, a son of Dealo and Margaret Walsh Hecker.Robert served with the United States Air Force from August of 1950 to August of 1954. A highlight for Robert was taking the Badger Honor Flight on April 30, 2016.On November 4, 1950, he married Joan L. Mitzelfeldt at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2015.Robert was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gambling with his son-in-law, Tom, monthly get-togethers with his G&L guys, and his family.He is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Thomas) Riehle of Brownsville; a son, Scott Hecker of Wild Rose; six grandchildren: Amy (Ben) Pitterle, Kristin (John) Favill, Shane (Melissa) Hecker, Lucas Hecker, Makayla (fiancé, Lucas Zaremba) Hecker, and Jozie Hecker; three great-grandchildren: Logan and Megan Pitterle, and Leon Hecker; a brother, Dealo "Deitz" (Joan) Hecker of Green Bay; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; two brothers: James and Richard; and a sister, Joyce.VISITATION: The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac.SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Meyer officiating.
