ZIMMER, Robert HenryRobert Henry Zimmer passed away unexpectedly at home in Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 88. He is survived by nephew Jack H. Zimmer Jr. and nieces Pamela Sue Walker and Terri-Joe Brodfuhrer, all of Orlando and Winter Park as well as 12 grand nieces and nephews. Robert was born on August 22, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents; John A and Adelia E. Zimmer. He graduated Yale University Class of 1952, Cum Laude. Robert worked and managed the Central Outdoor Advertising Co., Cleveland, Ohio 1951-1956. Later he was become President of Zimmer Advertising Co., West Palm Beach, Florida and Partner Zimmer Poster Services, Orlando and Daytona Beach 1956-1972. Robert H. Zimmer served on a number of boards, to name a few; President of the Kiwanis Club in 1967, Board of Directors for many years and President, West Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce 1971-1972, Board of Directors for many years and President, West Palm Beach Community Chest 1964. He served on the board and was president of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches 1973-1974. Chairman 1970 and Life member of the Salvation Army of the Palm Beaches to this day. Robert was also a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of West Palm Beach and Deacon for 6 years. Member of the Board of Directors of Atlantic National Bank, later known Wachovia Bank., member of the board and president for 2 years of the Palm Beach Republican Club. He was an extinguished life member of the Sailfish Club and member since 1970 of the Palm Beach Club and Pack Member of the Old Guard Security.
