Robert Joseph Horne, 29, passed away peacefully on Aug. 21, 2013, in Preston, after a battle with cancer. He was born on Nov. 4, 1983, in Viroqua, Wis., to Robert Joseph Lloyd and Rhonda Cobb. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, and fishing. He loved all his time spend outdoors. He loved his family and his nieces and nephews. He cared for his mother while she was battling cancer until she passed away earlier this year. He served in the U.S. Army and served in the Iraq War. He is survived by his brother James (Dixie) Horne of Preston; his sister Elaina (Alex) Harding of Mink Creek, Idaho; a brother Chaz Green of Boise; his father Robert Lloyd of Alma, Ga.; and a sister Jenny Ann Lloyd, of Alma Ga.; his nieces and nephews whom he loves so much, Tristen, Jaiden, Delfinia, Anna and a future niece Alexis, and an uncle Rick Cobb, of California. He was preceded in death by his mother Rhonda, two brothers Bret and Rick Horne, and two nieces Amelia and Angelia Horne.Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in the Preston Cemetery where the interment will also take place.
