Robert (Buddy) Lavern Cooper Jr., born on January 29, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, went peacefully to be with our Lord at age 76 on April 24, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona.  He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Phyllis Hickland Cooper (Smith) and the late Robert L. Cooper; and stepfather, Robert Smith.

He graduated from Lindblom Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois.  Robert was proud of his honorable service in the Navy serving from 1960 to 1964, along with one year in the Army.  He also was a biomedical technician by trade.  For 54 years, Robert was the loving husband of Frances. 

He is survived by his wife, Frances; son, Robert L. Cooper III (wife-Dawn) of Tucson AZ; daughter, Robin M. Cooper of Houston TX; brother, Martin L. Cooper Sr. (wife-Iris) of Waldorf MD; sister, Marina Downing of Colorado Springs CO; grandchild, Lauren Cooper of Rialto CA; and great-grandchild, Gavin Jackson of Rialto CA.  He was a member of Victory Worship Center in Tucson, Arizona.
