Robert L. GerwinGIBSONBURG: Robert L. Gerwin, age 92, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at , Perrysburg, OH. He was born on August 14, 1924 in Gibsonburg, OH to Leroy and Oleta (Linkey) Gerwin. On June 7, 1947 he married Esther Stotz in Gibsonburg and she preceded him in death on April 14, 1993. Robert was a self employed finish carpenter and also worked for Glenn Graffice and Son, Inc. retiring in 1995. His memberships included: Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg and the Local Carpenters Union. In his spare time he enjoyed deer hunting in Canada, raising pheasants and chickens, cutting firewood, gardening and tinkering in his garage. Above all else he loved to watch his grandsons play sports. He served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Army during WWII.Robert is survived by his children: Carolyn (Michael) Young of Gibsonburg, Diana Pratt of Bettsville, Don (Kris) Gerwin of Gibsonburg, grandchildren: Paul Young of Luckey, Brian (Linda) Young of Oak Harbor, Shawn (Jackie) Pratt of Punta Gorda, FL, Scott (Cheryl) Pratt of Port Clinton, Tamara (Dennis) Hahl of Fremont, Matt Gerwin and Andy (Amber Reed) Gerwin both of Pinole, CA, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, sister: Margaret (Len) Meyers of Prescott Valley, AZ and special friend: Rachel Shearon of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his wife: Esther and infant brother: Donald Gerwin.Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg where there will be additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Blair Miller. Interment will be in North Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
