LUCERobert L. II Robert L. Luce II, 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He died just how he wished - at home holding his wife's hand. Bob was born on February 11, 1951 to Robert and Emma (Thomas) Luce. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam (paratrooper). Bob worked for TARTA for 30+ years and after retirement, found that he was bored and went to work for Canberra Corp. He was an avid golfer and fan of Ohio State football and the Cleveland Browns, even though he was frustrated with each Browns' game.He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie (Vargo) Luce; children and stepson, John (Machelle), Joseph (Julie), Amy (Scott) and Robert (Charlotte); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat (Buster), Sally (Ronnie), Chris (Larry), Frank and Sharon. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Charmaine Vargo; sister-in-law, Holly (Breck) and brother-in-law, Jeff. His parents and father-in-law, Robert Vargo preceded him in death. Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 with the Memorial Service to begin at 6:00.
