Bob Outersky was born in Seward, Nebraska on March 10, 1943. He moved with his family to Omaha, Nebraska when he was in sixth grade. Bob worked hard at various jobs to pay for his schooling. He graduated from Creighton Prep High School in 1961 and Omaha University in 1967 with a degree in Accounting. He passed his CPA exam and went to work for a national CPA firm. After working for several years as an accountant, he decided to purchase a metal fabrication company. Being self-employed allowed him to spend more time with his family; he especially loved coaching his children in their sporting activities. It was his dream to retire at the age of 55, and in 1998, he achieved his goal.
During his retirement, he and Marilyn traveled to various places around the country. He spent many enjoyable hours cheering on his grandchildren in their various sporting events. He ushered at St. Robert's 12:30 mass for over 20 years. He also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the neighborhood homeowners association.
On February 14, 2018, Bob was called home by the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his daughter Becky (Brad) Outersky; his two sons Brian (Anne) and Jason; his six grandchildren, Jordan and Ryan Outersky, Jillian, Ella, and Ben Teal, and Michael Teal; and his sister Judith (Rik) Kobernik.
