Wondrash, Dr. Robert LeeRobert Lee Wondrash was born on February 17, 1943 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; the eldest son to Joseph J. Wondrash and his wife Florence Gronoski Wondrash. He passed away on July 14, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV.In Two Rivers, Robert attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Washington High School, graduating with the Class of 1961. He received a General Elementary Degree from Manitowoc Wisconsin Teacher's College; an Elementary Ed. Degree from Wisconsin State University in Oshkosh, WI; a Master's in Curriculum/Instruction/Administration from UNLV in Las Vegas, NV; an Ed D (1978) from UNLV. He was one of the first to be graduated in the Doctoral Program at UNLV. Robert served as President of Kappa Delta Pi and was listed in the National Honors Society and Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities (1976).Robert taught students from Grade 3 through High School and college. One of his passions was extra-curricular jobs coaching students in basketball, baseball, and football in Wisconsin. He loved being a mentor and role model encouraging students toward success. He was chosen to be a Clark County School District Teacher Corp Team Leader mentoring prospective teachers. He was an Assistant Professor at UNLV every semester and most summers for 13 years as he continued working as a teacher and then a Principal with CCSD. He started teaching in CCSD in 1970, was appointed a Principal in 1987 and retired in 2000.Because of Robert's personality, he was considered a problem solver for CCSD. He could easily mediate between parents, staff, administrators, support staff and students. He had the ability to see both sides of a situation and make each side feel his support and genuine concern. He made people feel at ease so they could come up with a compromise suitable to both parties.He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kristin, of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Thomas Wondrash (Jean) and their family of Two Rivers; his sister, Sandi LuMaye and her family of Two Rivers; his brother, Jeffrey Wondrash (Karen) of West Bend; along with many other relatives and friends.Private services were held in Las Vegas, NVOnline condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
