ClarksvilleLega, Dr. Robert "Bob",Dr. Robert "Bob" Lega, 70, of Clarksville, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy in Jeffersonville. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Bob was born on November 30, 1946 to the late Vincent and Dorothy Sparks Lega. He was a compassionate father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and coach. Dr. Bob was an amazing pediatrician who saved, sustained and enhanced the health of so many within our community while giving free medical advice to all he loved. Bob was known for his sarcasm and quick wit. He had many hobbies he enjoyed such as fly fishing and tying flies, cooking, baking, photography and was a professional collector of many different things. He avidly played his guitars, was a talented artist and writer, and loved his two dogs. Bob was currently working at Tuesday Morning and the Serenity House.Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Paula Popp Lega; a brother-in-law, Dennis Riley; twin nieces, Katherine and Christina Lega; and Buster Brown. Bob is survived by four children, Emily Fisher (Brian); Jessica Goodman (Eric); Stephen Lega; Julia Miller (Steve); six siblings, Kathlene L. Riley; his twin sister, Linda Martin (Ed); Marcia Kidd (Gary); Jeanine Hardesty (Bill); Carla Heller (Andrew); John Lega (Sharon);In-laws, Dale Popp (Teresa); Phyllis Catt (Steve); Joan Popp; Susan Popp; six grandchildren, Max, Charlotte, Lola, Tess, Ruby, Lucy; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and his faithful companions, Ted and Suzy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Serenity House or the Jeff Token Club.
