Robert Louis David, age 75, of Oscoda, formerly of Clawson, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born on Sept. 22, 1938 in Detroit to the late John and Sophia David (nee Blach). Bob was a truck driver for most of his career and retired through Bolyard Lumber after almost 20 years. He also worked for Shrek Lumber and Davison & Son Builders in Tawas. Bob was a longtime member of FOE in East Tawas and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies, and going for car rides to sightsee with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Donna David, whom he married on Dec. 26, 1981 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak. Bob is also survived by his children, Robert Jr. (Jennifer) David of Grand Ledge, Brian (Connie) Bazzy of Clawson and Laurie David of Oscoda; brother, John David of Oscoda; sister, Jean (Edward) Davison of East Tawas; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen David. The family will welcome friends Saturday, April 26 at noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda, MI.
