Robert Lowell Wallace, 85Robert "Bob" Lowell Wallace, 85, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville, IN. He was born on February 14, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Lowell Hubert and Mary Theresa Wallace. Bob grew up on the west side of Indianapolis, attending George Washington High School. He served in the United States Army during
WWII in occupied Germany. Bob married Margaret Lois James and she preceded him in death. He later resided in Lafayette with his girlfriend, Gloria Mastin; she preceded him in death. Bob retired from Applied Industrial Technologies in 2003 after 45 years as a sales rep. He was a hard working, fun loving, outgoing person Bob loved coaching baseball for youth and adult softball. Surviving are his children, Marsha (Joe) Vorhies Niehaus of Jamestown, Kathy (Joe) Vorhies Corlette of Indianapolis, Cari (Ron) Wallace Nicholson of Lebanon, and Freda Wallace Baker of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Jodi Neer of Shelbyville, Rachael Niehaus Cullins of London, UK, Emily Trinkle of Bloomington, Zech and Caleb Baker of Martinsville, and Todd and Anthony Wallace of Florida; and great grandchildren, Maddison Smith, Hayden and Trinity Willliams of Shelbyville and Lucas, Owen, and Emily Neer. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Wallace. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 8 at 1 p.m. at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in memory of Bob.
