Robert Michael, 60, went into eternal life on July 24, 2015 in Maintal, Germany. He was a beloved son, husband, brother, uncle and nephew and was affectionately known to his family as "Bobby" or "Bob." Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who helped raise him and whom he adored: Sofia and Estevan Gallegos; his mother-in-law: Elisabeth Endres; and many special aunts and uncles.Robert was born on June 9, 1955 in Las Vegas. He is survived by his parents, Lydia and Fred Cordova; his wife, Ingrid Weyrich-Gallegos from Maintal, Germany and his five sisters: Laura Cordova (Curtis), Doris Mares (Art), Eileen Rivera, Sandra Cordova and Michelle Jordan and husband, Jim Snyder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Wayne Parson (Lena) and daughter Cheyanne, Adrian Mares (Christina) and children, Andria, Adrian, and Ariana, Amie Mares (Chris) and children, Marco, Miranda, Devin, Michaela, Michael and Miamor, Brittney Mares (JaMarcus) and daughter, Zaishah, Jolyn Lucero (Jesse) and daughter, Alexis, Lynette Castillo (Mathew) and children, Izek, Leyna, Alyxandra, Faith and Hope, Kim Baca (Richard) and children, Isaiah and RJ, Andrew Cordova-Garcia (Jessica) and their son, Adam, Xena Crespin, Evanne Sandoval (Dre) and children, Aiyana, Estevan, James, Sophia and Aajay. He is also survived by two special aunts: Corina Gutierrez and Connie Baca of Pueblo, Colo. He is also survived by great- nephews and nieces: Braydon, Zeriah, and Raylynn. He also has many cousins who loved him dearly.Robert graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1973. He joined the United States
Army shortly after and met the love of his life, Ingrid, while stationed in Germany. He served his country for four years and married Ingrid, making Germany his new home. He and Ingrid made several trips to visit family in New Mexico and Colorado, where he enjoyed listening to mariachi music and traveling to El Santuario and many other New Mexico landmarks. He also loved photography.All services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday, beginning with a rosary at 8:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. His cremains will be buried in Germany at a later time.
