Robert J. Miethke1924 - 2016Robert J. Miethke, 92, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center.He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. Robert was born on Jan. 24, 1924, and was the son of the late John and Catherine (Cox) Miethke. He attended Washington Jr. High School.He was united in marriage to Colleen Mary "Tootie" Lee. Their union was blessed with two children, Robbin and James. On May 24, 1989, he was united in marriage to Patricia Falduto. They were blessed with 27 years together.Robert dedicated much of his life to the electrical trade. He was employed with the Wisconsin Electric Power Company and began his career as a lineman and retired as a foreman in 1984. He was a 70 year member of the I.B.E.W.He was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the previous St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Robert was an active member of the Kenosha Senior Citizen Center where he made many friends and had many happy times. He was also a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286.Robert liked body building and weight lifting in his younger years. He loved taking rides in his red truck and traveling with his wife, Patricia. They were fortunate to travel to nine countries.He will always be remembered by his loving wife, Patricia; his daughter, Robbin (Danny) Wedell; his stepdaughters, Linda (Michael) Broesch, Laura Falduto, Mary James and Grace Falduto; his grandchildren, Josh (Jenny) Wedell, Janelle (Jeremy) Tummel, John (Missy) Broesch, Julia Broesch and Dominic James; and his four great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Miethke.Funeral Services honoring Robert's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation for Robert will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
