Lieutenant Colonel Robert MortonLieutenant Colonel Robert Morton, 72, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born on July 16, 1944 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Robert moved to Florida in 1966 as his first station with the
United States Air Force. Robert spent his 24 year career with the Air Force doing research and development for projects such as the creation of the first software used on the F-16 fighter jet. He married his wife, Aneeta, of 49 years at McCoy Air Force Base in Florida on November 4, 1967. Robert was a member of Trinity Wellsprings Church in Satellite Beach.Robert was preceded in passing by his parents, Benjamin and Cleta Morton. He is survived by his wife, Aneeta Morton; his sons, Gregory and Eric Morton; and his granddaughter, Devin Morton.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Robert's name to the Chapter 32 on 2265 N. Harbor City Blvd. Melbourne, FL 32935.
