NEAL Robert Dailey, 76, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Dec 5, 2016 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. Bob was born on June 10, 1940 in Lexington, KY to the late E. Maurice and Patty Hayden Neal. He was a lifelong resident of Lexington and a 1958 graduate of Lafayette High School. On June 5, 1961, he married the love of his life, Martha Ann Cox Neal. A lifelong contractor and businessman, he owned or partnered in various companies including: McGregor and Neal, P & N Construction, and Neal Incorporated, successfully completing infrastructure projects for many entities including: The United States Army Corps of Engineers, The Kentucky State Highway Department and various Local Governments. He spent his later years in semi-retirement as the builder and owner of VRS Mini Storage. Mr. Neal is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Martha Ann; three sons, Robert Kevin (Teri) Neal, Christopher Shane (Connie) Neal, and Patrick Shaun (Lisa) Neal; one brother, William David (Carol) Neal; one sister, Margaret Ann (Elmer) Smith. He is also survived by his greatest treasures, his grandchildren; Brandon Christopher Neal, Robert James Neal, Stormy Banks Neal, Thomas Conley Neal and Candice Jane Neal. He was a wonderful provider, a man of great will, a hard worker who always faced any obstacle head-on. He will be greatly missed by his family and many others. Rest easy. Funeral services will be held 11am Thur, Dec 8, at Southland Christian Church, Harrodsburg Rd., in the Wayne B. Smith Memorial Chapel by Brewster McLeod. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, and good friend, Bill Rogers. Visitation will be 3-7pm Wed at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.
