Olson, Robert "Bob"Robert "Bob" Olson, 90, Green Bay, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was born on October 17, 1926 to Albert J. Cruse and Annetta B. Syvertson.Bob served with the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. On May 5, 1956, he married Laura Larson. Bob was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, retiring in June, 1989. He also worked as an AARP TCE volunteer during tax filing season. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #368 (Hixton-Taylor), since 1948.Bob took up distance running at the age of 50 and enjoyed the health benefits, as well as the camaraderie of the "Wednesday Nite Group". He was a life-long New York Yankees fan and Green Bay Packers fan.Bob is survived by his loving wife, Laura, with whom he spent over 60 years; his children, Scott (Jeanie) Olson, Daniel Olson, Laura Lynn Burns; eight grandchildren, Kathryn Rhode, Matthew Olson, Camie Nelson, Cassie Weimann, Samantha Ferron, Jaclyn Ferron, Michael P. Burns Jr., Daniel Burns; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Turnquist; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bob Turnquist; and son-in-law, Michael Burns.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 19.
