Jablonski, Robert P.Robert P. Jablonski, age 99, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Robert was born on October 30, 1917 to the late Benjamin and Anna (Konkol) Jablonski in the Town of Harrison, WI. He grew up on the family homestead and attended the local schools.In his earlier years, Robert worked on the family farm before finding work at a bakery. He married Regina R. Eiden on May 10, 1941 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point, WI. On January 25, 1943, he was inducted into the United States Army. During his time of service, Robert received a Victory Medal, a European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, 4 Overseas Service Bars, 1 Service Stripe, and a Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on January 28, 1946.After his time of service, Robert found employment at Consolidated Papers. He worked there 41 years as a Beater Engineer until becoming a Stock Room Leader. After years of dedication and service, Robert retired in 1979.Robert will be remembered for his loving and humble nature. In his spare time, he enjoyed travel and ice fishing. Robert had a passion for picking blueberries; or any berry that seemed to satisfy his appetite. When he wasn't picking berries, he relished the atmosphere of a festive church picnic. He liked to dress up and had a collection of suits to choose from. Family was also extremely important to Robert and he enjoyed many memorable moments with his grandchildren.Survivors include his daughter, Patricia (Frank) Petranech, their daughter, Stacy (Dave), and great grandson, Noah; son, Jerry (Shirley) Jablonski, and their daughters, Joanne (Dan) and Robin (Kevin) and great grandsons, Remington and Alexander; and son, Thomas (Susan) Jablonski and their children, Julie (Mike), Amy (Matthew), Brian (Jennifer), Kelly (Robert), and grandchildren, Kiara, Emma, Amanda, Natalie, Rylee, Madaline, Mallory, Luke, Wyatt, Cooper, Logan, and Bailey. He is also survived by his siblings, Gazelle Wachowiak, Bertha Lewis, Lydia Maher, Bruno Jablonski, Leona Genzler; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
