Mehn, Robert P. (Bob)Robert P. (Bob) Mehn, Sr., 83, died on February 17, 2017, due to complications from several medical issues. He was a resident of Bradenton, Florida, at the time of his death. Bob was born on July 26, 1933, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, to Paul and Mildred Mehn. Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and soon after married Carrol Stadler on September 10, 1955. Bob was employed for much of his career by Bemis Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1998. He was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Society of Plastic Engineers and was a NABC Master in Bridge, only a few points short of his goal of Life Master. Bob loved spending time with Lois Tankerley, his longtime significant other, was a lifetime Badger and Packer fan, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and fishing. He was a member and past president of the Newton Lions Club, an Optimist, and a member and past president of the Professional Society of Plastics Engineers. Survivors include, Lois Tankerley, his children and their spouses, Robert P. Mehn, Jr. (Christine), Keith A. Mehn, (Michelle), Melody Sue Mehn, Jeff L. Mehn (Mary), grandchildren Paul (Sydny), Danielle (Zac), Samantha (Eric), Sara (Ty), Alex, Major, Adam and Jacob, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special family friend Dr. Anne A. Weston. He was preceded in death by his wife Carrol, grandchild Erin, sisters Lucille Rasmussen and Carolyn Wilson, brother and sister-in-laws LeRoy Stadler, Linda McFarlin, Eugene and Darlene Janes, and Jokes and Lorraine Wilkenson. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017, at 11 AM at Campus Life Family Center at 6426 S Business Drive, Sheboygan, WI 53081, with a luncheon to follow. Bob was a dedicated family man who, with the help of two special women, spent his life in the service of his family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in his name.
